Padauk Crystal Over Slate Pot Call
The Padauk Crystal Over Slate brings together a crisp, responsive crystal surface with the natural rasp and character of a slate soundboard for a call with plenty of turkey built into it.
Turned from Padauk, this pot has a clean, higher front end that breaks into a throaty, raspy back end. The crystal gives you the responsiveness and bite to get aggressive with yelps and cutting, while the slate underneath helps round out the sound and gives the call a deeper, more natural finish.
It's got enough volume to reach out and get a bird's attention, but it isn't a one-dimensional call. Back off the pressure and it'll settle down nicely for softer yelps, clucks, and finishing work when a longbeard starts closing the distance.
The result is a versatile, turkey-sounding call with a strong rollover that can handle everything from locating a bird to working him those final few yards.
Each call is hand-turned, individually tuned, and built in Abbeville, South Carolina.
