My love for turkey hunting started as a kid growing up in Pennsylvania. It didn't take long before I became just as interested in making turkey sounds as I was chasing the birds themselves.

At 14 years old, I started building my own calls. What began as a kid experimenting with call making eventually grew into years of building, hunting, and competing.

In 2009, I was named NWTF Midwest Youth Call Maker of the Year. As I got older, competitive calling became a big part of my life as well. I won the Grand National Intermediate Calling Championship in 2013, the World Intermediate Calling Championship in 2014, and the World Friction Calling Championship in 2015. More recently, I won the South Carolina State Calling Championship in 2023 and 2024, along with numerous other wins and Top 10 finishes at the World and Grand National level over the years.

Eventually, life pulled me away from building calls for a while.

Now I'm back at the lathe, and Gamble Run Game Calls is a return to where all of this started.

Every call I sell is made by me, one at a time, here in Abbeville, South Carolina. Pot calls are turned individually on a wood lathe. Mouth calls are stretched and built individually on a mouth-call press.

No CNC. No private-label calls. No mass production.

I choose the materials, turn the pots, build the calls, tune them, and run them myself. Because they're handmade from real wood, no two will ever be exactly alike—and that's part of what I love about building them.

I've spent a lot of years chasing turkey sound. Sometimes that meant standing on a competition stage with judges listening. More often, it meant sitting against a tree with a longbeard answering somewhere through the timber.

Today, I get just as much enjoyment out of woodworking and building calls as I do using them.

And whether I'm building something for the stage or for a hunter who's going to carry it in his vest every spring, my goal hasn't really changed since I was 14:

Build a call I'd be proud to run myself.
