Wenge Crystal Over Slate Pot Call

The Wenge Crystal Over Slate is one of those calls that makes you stop and run it again.

Turned from dense, naturally resonant Wenge, this pot pairs a crystal playing surface with a slate soundboard to produce a sharp, clean front end that rolls hard into a deep, raspy back end. It has the volume and bite to reach across a ridge, but maintains the control and turkey in the sound when it's time to back one down.

The crystal surface is incredibly responsive, giving you crisp yelps, aggressive cutting, and plenty of high-end excitement, while the slate underneath helps knock the edge off and gives the call a more natural, mature-hen character.

This has quickly become one of my favorite combinations to build and run. It's an aggressive call when you lean on it, but there's enough finesse underneath to work a bird all the way to the gun.

Every pot is hand-turned from Wenge, individually assembled, tuned, and run before it leaves the shop in Abbeville, South Carolina.

Includes a two-piece Dymondwood striker, matched to the call and ready to hunt.
